Question Unanswered: Reading across 2 DB instances

As part of validating a new data mart application, I want to read source data sitting in a DB2 system and pull associated target data sitting in an Oracle db.
Has anyone come across this scenario and how did you overcome the discontinuity between the 2 databases?

You would need to setup your db2 instance as a federated database and you could then create a link between the 2 different db and run a query in db2 that would read both databases. Look in the DB2 manual under federated databases.

    ADBC

    Hello,

Alligator DataBase Connectivity can help you. We can send you a DLL for Windows that expands the Oracle database.
After installation of ADBC you are able to connect via PL/SQL to any DB2 database.
You can also join the table in Oracle and DB2.

If you need help in this way just send an e-mail to
