Unanswered: dropping a table is taking unexpectedly long time

    Hi All,
A table creation is taking just 1 seconds while when we try to drop it, it takes around 15 seconds !! This is the behaviour with any table. I've reorganised the SYSIBM tables which were suggested by the reorgchk.

If you have allot of stuff running at the time you issue the drop, it puts a lock on the system catalog. I have seen this may times, you may want to try:

    1) connect to db
    2) issue "change isolation to ur "
    3) drop command
