Unanswered: Help! OMS install changed passwords on DB instance!?
I just installed Oracle Management Server (9.2) on a Win2000 server that was already running a 9.2 database instance. I chose to create a new Oracle home to avoid messing anything up. (!!) When I got to the Configuration Wizard stage, I found I could not log into the DB instance (to create the repository) -- it did not accept any of the logon/passwords that I know to be valid.
Looking at the logs, it seems that the OMS installation process stopped and restarted the database instance (which bears NO RELATION to OMS,except that it's on the same machine! ) and now the passwords don't work, and I don't know what's happened to the data!
