Red face Unanswered: Slow SAP 4.6C install on DB2 7.1 / SUSE 8.2

    Hi all!

I have computer with P4 2,4 Ghz / 1 Gb RAM, 2HDD and SUSE Linux 8.2 installed on it. Now I'm installing SAP, and on steç "Loading the Database" I got very bad perfomance - data loading for more then 1 day! I know, full database size in over 17 Gb, but CPU usage ~5%, swap is free, and disk perfomance is nearly 1 Mb/sec, but real disk perfomance is above 50 Mb/sec, so it seems me, that there are some kind of bottleneck, but I don't know where.

It was SUSE kernel bug. Vanilla 2.4.22 works well
