Unanswered: SQL INSERT and Resultset Order

I've been accessing an OS390 server through DB2 Connect for some time now with expected behavior. The INSERTed data would be the added as the last row in the table. Now, INSERTed rows are placed after the first rowset present in the table. I had made changes through the DB2 Configuration Assistant for ODBC/CLI, and this behavior occurred afterwards. After apparently restoring default settings, this 'out-of-order' behavior continues. An ideas on why and how to fix? Thanks in advance.

How do you know what is the physical order for the rows in the table? A relational database is not guaranteed to return data via a SELECT statement in any consistent order unless you use the ORDER BY clause.
