    Unanswered: SQl 6.5 frozen

We have been running sql 6.5 for a while now, resently our staff increased slightly and now we are having locking or blocking issues. Not sure why, we have run maintenance on it, cleared logs, but for the past week nothing has helped.

Any suggestions? Also our front application is MS access through ADO

I would look into moving your database to MSSQL 2000 to take advantage of row level locking, if page locking is what's holding you up.

Hard to say without knowing more details.

    IMO MSSQL 6.5 = crap

Do you beleive this has started because of the increase of staff or might there be any other reason. Nothing esle has changed.

There is another legacy system which is not compatible with 2000 this is why we are in this grut right now and can't upgrade.
