Unanswered: Stored procedure is taking time in SQl 2000

    Hi,

We are Migrating our application from SQL 6.5 to SQL 2000. Following Stored procedure is running fine in SQL 6.5 (it is taking 2 hrs) but in SQL 2000 it is taking 6-7 Hrs. Please help me to optimize & if you know the problem with SQL 2000 please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Ajay

Create a trace table and log points in the SP to see what is taking the time.
Then look at the execution plan to see what is causing the problem with that query.

There are a few obvious things you can do to speed this up but you need to find where to concentrate your effort.
