    Question Unanswered: Failing maint plan

We have a maintenance plan that fails during an index rebuild of a specific table with the following error: DBCC failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: ‘QUOTED_IDENTIFIER, ARITHABORT’. The Microsoft Q article (Q301292) says to turn these options on in the job. So I modified the maintenance plan optimizations job and SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER & ARITHABORT on before the maintenance plan step. The job still failed. I can run DBCC DBREINDEX on the whole table and it runs successfully. I just fails in the maintenance plan. The table has no indexed views or indexes on computed columns. Any thoughts?

    Howdy,

So what happens if you manually code up in T-SQL the same tasks?
    e.g. DBCC CHECKDB (DB_NAME) etc

    Also :

What version of SQL are you using?
    What SP level is SQL?
Is this a local or linked server?
Are you using " instead of ' for quoted identifiers?

Also, in my experience, EM is the root of many problems e.g. creating jobs for servers will fail in EM but work in QA ( go figure......)

    Post back if probs,

    Cheers,

    SG.

    Arrow Failing maint plan

Good question. We are at 8.00.789. It is a local server. DBCC CHECKDB works from the QA.

    Thanks for your help
