Unanswered: UNLOAD FROM TABLE issue (UNICODE)
I am running a z/os with support for unicode and db2 v7.
i have created a table using UNICODE and when i try to unload the contents with:
//SYSIN DD *
UNLOAD FROM TABLE [xxxx].[yyyyyyyy]
(COL_1 , COL_2)
WHEN (COL_1 = 'QA')
I am getting no results, but i know that there exists one row with COL_1 = 'QA'.
Unfortunately, when i use:
WHEN (COL_1 = X'5141') -- qa in ASCII
i get the column i expect.
Does it mean that UNLOAD utilty cannot convert 'QA' to the appropriate type before the unload is issued??
It is quite absurd, as z/os does not support typing in unicode!!!!
Thanx in advance,
