Question Unanswered: Worksheet Refresh Data, ODBC Errors

    Hello,

I have an ODBC DNS configured. Let's call it DATABASE.

I then have a query saved with an Excel spreadsheet that
    uses the DATABASE ODBC entry.

For the past couple of days, including today, I was able to refresh the query in the spreadsheet. Several hours later when I went to refresh I received the following error:

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQL Set Connect
    Attr failed

[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle] Invalid connection
    string attribute

When I asked my end-user to refresh the worksheet, they did not receive any errors.

When I created a new Excel query and then used the same DATABASE DSN entry, I received no error.

I'd like to use this worksheet with several users, but it will be very frustrating if when one goes to refresh there is nothing but errors and then I need to recreate the worksheet.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is and what I can do
    to prevent this from happening?

soliver, I'm having the same problem. I've not been able to figure it out and it's driving me crazy. I'll keep you posted if I can come up with something.
    Thanks.
