Unanswered: ANSI SQL-92 Support in Sybase 12.5

I thought ANSI joins on subqueries was supported in 12.5. For example to find the students who have taken Math 101 and might have taken Math 102:

    SELECT C1.student, C1.math, C2.math
FROM (SELECT * FROM Courses WHERE math = 101) AS C1
    LEFT OUTER JOIN (SELECT * FROM Courses WHERE math = 102) AS C2 ON C1.student = C2.student

This type of query does not compile. Works in SQL Server 2000.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just a SQL 2000 specific feature?

I know the derived table/inline view (e.g. select * from ( select * from )) is only available on ASE12.5.1 which just came out, so you'll have to update.

I'm pretty sure the derived table is fine in the JOIN, too..
    Thanks,

    Matt

Yes, just read the 12.5.1 specs and it is supported.

    Thanks
