Unanswered: Access 2000 merge to Word XP

I have one freelancer who uses Office XP, he has no problems using the mdb but when I tried to set up the Word mail merge templates I could see the mdb file but it did not list all of the tables and queries, specifically the ones that I want to link to.

Is this a known 2000/XP problem or am I just not trying hard enough.

Are you sure the tables aren't hidden?

Go to Tools -> Options -> View Tab and select Hidden Objects.

No they're definitely there, I can see them along with the ones it does choose to list.

    But thanks for the idea.

Is the database secured? I have some succesful experience with mail

merge but I've always been the user that opened the merged document

and I have full permissions. I'm not sure how Word treats the objects

that the user does not have permission for.

Probably not what you're lookin for but I'm interested to see where this

    leads.

    Good Luck

No there is no security and I have sucesfully installed the database on 2 other users' laptops, both running Word 2000.

I'm pretty sure that it's an Office XP problem, I'm going to give it a go on my son's laptop tonight.
