Question Unanswered: trouble bcp'ing syslogins into 12.5

Hi, I'm currently migrating to a new database host and have run into problems moving some logins. In the past I have bcp'd out from the old host, removed everything except the logins I want to move, (get read of sa etc). set "allow updates" to 1 and bcp'd in the altered file.

When I try this now I get the follwoing error message....

    Server Message: ukop****3_qa - Msg 7753, Level 16, State 1:
Unable to SET IDENTITY_INSERT to ON/OFF for object 'master..syslogins' because the object is not a user table.

    CTLIB Message: - L1/O1/S1/N183/1/0:
ct_options(): user api layer: external error: An error was returned from the server while setting the options, check the server message for details.
    Setting connection options failed.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

(Both hosts are running sybase ASE v12.5, on solaris 8.)

    Hi,

bcp out the data from your main ASE now and try to bcp in to new ASE using -b1

this will help you in avoiding the sa and other logins which are already there in the syslogins.
