    hi,

for using ms-word in forms, read the online help for the use OLE. In the psat I used the spellingchecker of ms-word in a form, so ms-word can be used. Query metalink for some examples on the issue.
Reading a text file i think can be done also.
I think of a file located in a directory, which can be accessed using UTL_FILE. In a trigger in on a block, you can use utl_file to read the content of the file and store it in text-item of a block.

    Hope this helps.
