    Unanswered: OS/ 390 Call a Stored Procedure from QMF

    OK...I finally wrote a sproc in DB2 on the mainframe (and a trigger and a udf..)

    How do you execute the sproc in QMF? I can't figure it out

    Should it be as simple as

    EXEC owner.SprocName?

    Nothing about QMF...

    and it say the syntax is call...but that don't work...

    The code builds the proc just fine...but how do you execute it?

    Code:
      CALL QUERY_TAB('PERSON');

    --CREATE PROCEDURE QUERY_TAB
    --(IN TABNAME  CHAR(18))
    --LANGUAGE SQL
    --  BEGIN
    --    DECLARE V_NAME CHAR(18);
    --    SELECT * FROM SYSIBM.SYSTABLES WHERE NAME = TABNAME;
    --  END
    Or can't you execute procs in QMF...I would understand why not...

    OK what's the syntax for a call in client server?

    PROC syntax in DB2 is painful...

    Why isn't as simple as

    CREATE PROC myProc
    @x int, @y in out
    AS

    SELECT @y=COUNT(*) FROM SYSCOLUMNS

    ...or something...
