Unanswered: Permission problem accessing MDE object

PLEASE HELP. I have several MDE access files and all of the sudeen I see them all to be locked. When try to access any of them, I get " You do not have the necessary permission to use the MDE object" . I deleted all the LDB files based on some suggention from others and I still have the files as locked files and same permission error. What bothers me is that this application was working fine before and now I can NOT get into any of them. PLEASE ADVICE.

    Thanks

    Alex,

This beats me ... MDE's are peculiar birds anyways. You might have to go back to the original mdb's that they were compiled from and start out fresh ... Did you check the MS knowledge base for this problem with MDE's? www.microsoft.com
