    Question Unanswered: Importing Sybase 12.0.0.7 / Solaris 5.7 Compress dumps on Sybase 12.5 /Sun server 5.8

    Hi,

    I am importing a compressed dump of Sybase 12.0.0.7 / sun server 5.7 on Sybase 12.5 / sun server 5.8.

    Following error is reported -:

    Oct 9 14:04:48 2003: Backup Server: 4.124.2.1: Archive API error for device='co
    mpress::/sybase125/dumps/dumpfile1.c1::02': Vendor a
    pplication name=Compress API, Library version=1, API routine=syb_read(), Message
    =

    Test block device in the master database for drive .....

    My problem got sorted out. It was a problem of FTP ( Binary / ascii)
