I am using Access 2000 Developer edition.

Here is what I am trying to acheive:

I have a table which gets deleted and then re-populated each time a certain event happens during an order-entry process.

tblPivotData
PrimaryKey : Autonumber
CalDate : Date / Time
DuringBuildUp : Number
DuringShow : Number
DuringPullOut : Number

I have created a pivot form which is based on this table

The module that generates the data also opens this pivot:-

DoCmd.OpenForm "frmPivotTable"
######################

So far so good.

However, I am not too "chuffed" on the way this appears within access.

Instead of the pivot form appearing with the "edit pivot table object" button, I would like to:

1: Select the range of the data (Which will change each time the pivot is created.

2: Go to print preview for that range

Hopefully, this will then have the effect of just bringing up a nice white background report when it is initiated?

Any suggestions greatfully received.

First thought is that I may have to use a custom automation routine with excel rather than the internal Access pivot functions?
