    Arrow Unanswered: need help with Oracle Cron Job

    I just need a cron to call an Oracle procedure. I know nothing about crons and no one in my office knows anything, but for some reason, I was assigned this. Id love to just quit my job and hang out outside, but the job pays the bills.

    I based what I did upon work someone in another office sent me. unfortunately I cant seem to get in touch with this person now.

    Anyway this is the crontab entry:

    22 10 * * * /home/ecom_dev/psource/ecom.run

    this is the ecom.run file. the procedure has been complied and runs fine by itself.

    Code:
    #!/usr/bin/ksh

    PATH=/usr/bin:/etc:/usr/sbin:/usr/ucb:$HOME/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/sbin:/usr/lbin:/actapps/oracle/bin:/usr/local/bin:. ;
    export PATH
    ORACLE_SID=dev9i; export ORACLE_SID
    ORACLE_HOME=/actapps/oracle; export ORACLE_HOME
    ORAENV_ASK=NO ; export ORAENV_ASK

    #
    sqlplus ecom_dev/ecom_dev @/home/ecom_dev/psource/PREV_EXPIRATION.sql
