    Unanswered: connect to sql2000 with 2 instances

    I have an sql2000 with 2 instances in the same server:
    first instance server1\sqldev
    second instance server1\sqlprod
    i try the following to connect from ASP:
    dbstr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;driver={SQL Server};server=server1\sqldev;uid=test;pwd=test;da tabase=employee;"
    and:
    dbstr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;driver={SQL Server};server=server1\sqlprod;uid=test;pwd=test;d atabase=employee;"
    and:
    dbstr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;driver={SQL Server};server=server1;uid=test;pwd=test;database= employee;"
    and:
    dbstr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;driver={SQL Server};server=10.10.1.2;uid=test;pwd=test;databas e=employee;"
    and:
    dbstr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;driver={SQL Server};server=10.10.1.2\sqldev;uid=test;pwd=test; database=employee;"

    all i get is the error message: sql server is not found
    is there any certain setting or another way to connect to the instances?please help

    Dont know
    suddenly it works with :
    dbstr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;driver={SQL Server};server=server1\sqldev;uid=test;pwd=test;da tabase=employee;"

    After restarting the sql agent & installing MDAC 2.8 on the IIS Server
