    Unanswered: Functions with $

    Hi

I wander what it means that function is ended with $ like :Left or Left$
What is the difference and when to use the one or the other?
Couldn't find it in the Help.

    TIA

They are the same and have the same effect.
$ at the end of a varialble means it contains a string also at the end of a function it means it should return a string.

I think one returns a variant string and the other returns a string. Variants take more room to store.
