Red face Unanswered: How to setup custom location for db2 source?

    Hi All !

Can you tell me how to setup custom location during installation DB2 Connect on Linux for S/390 and zSeries ?
When I run db2_install every thing go's to /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/..... location.
I need to install in /opt/apps/IBM/db2/V8.1/.....
because system admin gave us this location.

    I was trying to run:

    1. db2_instal -d /opt/apps
    2. db2_instal -d /apps

    It go's in /opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/..... anyway.

Can I do some thing with out changing installation script ?????

    Regards,

    Pavel.

I'm afraid, you cannot customize it ... The only way is by creating symbolic links ...

    http://www-3.ibm.com/software/data/p...k/symblink.pdf

    explains the procedure ...
