Unanswered: Access Frontend and mySql backend

    Hi all,
Can anybody tell me if there is any way that I can use Access as a frontend to make the interface for forms, reports, etc. and use any other database, e.g mySql or PostGre Sql in the backend? What I want to know is that, is it possible that for example, I have a staff form to add data about a new staff, then on pressing the "Save" button on the form, instead of the data going to the Access tables, the data instead passes on to the backend mySql or PostGre Sql tables? Has anybody had any sort of experience or knowledge to do this? I would really appreciate anybody posting any suggestions or advice on this. Thank you all in advance for your time and efforts. Cheers.

I have not done so yet with MySQL nor PostgreSQL, but you should be able to download the odbc drivers and create table links using odbc to the backend RDBMS of your choice. At least, that is how the theory goes. It works with Oracle and MS-SQL.
