    2)Difference between odbc and oledb?
3)When connecting to database from oledb ,which type of protocal use?
4)In clent server technology how to improve the network performance?
example:In MTS 10 clents concurrently using batch process in that case how to improve the network performance?
5)In distributed enviornment how to improve the network performance?
6)What is the maxmium limit for open_cursors ?

7)what is the pros and cons of cold backup and hot backup?

    Please answer the above queries

    1. Unlimited within constraints set by PROCESSES and SESSIONS init parameters, for instance. The number can be set in init.ora using mts_max_dispatchers parameter

    2. oledb offers performance and features of object-orientend technology. For example OLEdb supports both Connection Pooling and Distributed Transactions, ODBC does not.

    3. AFAIK default is TCP/IP

btw. There is many documentation on the internet, try www.google.com!
