    Unanswered: SQL Server won't autostart

I have been using SQL Server 2000 for a couple of days now, and it's been autostarting with the OS. Today I renamed the computer (gave it a new network name) and now my SQL Server won't autostart. I can start it manually without any problems with the Service manager. The option to autostart is checked but it still won't run when I restart the computer. Can anyone tell me what I should do to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Hi

What server Name it is showing when you do Select @@Servername ?

Try using sp_addserver '','local' to add new name and try again
