Unanswered: deleting files on time based

    Hi,

I want to delete files on Windows-XP server based upon time ( Like I want to delete files older than 2 days) from a .bat file which is scheduled as a job in Oracle-8i. What is the better way? Would some one help with the command I can include in .bat file or a script in PL/SQL to delete the files on the Windows-XP drive with time based constraints.

    Thanks

no offense, but how is this related to oracle databases?

My solution (if you end up loading the .bat data into the database eventually) would be to load ALL the data into a temporary table, then extract the rows you want with a simple sql query/script.

In comparison to how much time it is gonna take you to figure out how to remove the data from the .bat file, this would be a heck of a lot simpler/quicker.

    delete files time based

Thanks. Since I did not find the MS windows or DOS I stuffed it in a remotely related oracle since my end is Oracle. I would implement your suggestion but I thought any DOS command already exists.
