var sidebar_align = 'right';
var content_container_margin = parseInt('290px');
var sidebar_width = parseInt('270px');
I'm working with DB2 version 8.1 and I'm wondering if DB2 has deferred constraint checking. Deferred constraint checking is delaying checks on things such as not null columns, foreign keys, etc. until transaction commit time.
The equivalent in Oracle would be:
CREATE TABLE orders
(ord_num NUMBER CONSTRAINT unq_num UNIQUE (ord_num)
INITIALLY DEFERRED DEFERRABLE);
Please let me know if DB2 has an equivalent.
No, DB2 does not defer constraint checking until commit time. DB2 has some deferred constraint checking using the load utility, but not what you are talking about.
