Question Unanswered: Old Informix db - need table data -pls help.

We have a very old Informix database running on a standalone server box running SCO UNIX. It's so old nobody knows what version of Informix its running.

I'm converting this system and need to know the contents of 3 database tables. However i no nothing of Informix or Unix.

So far i've managed to login to the Server and now get a '#' command prompt.

Any ideas what i need to run to obtain the 3 db table contents, i know the names of the table and am okay at Select statements but where do i run these from to get my data?

Any help greately appreciated because i've been dumped on from a greate height.

sounds like a load of old crap to me - you want to get it replaced with a decent database and a decent operationg system - get some decent staff while you're about it.

Luckily i found a few members of staff who were even older than the Informix system. By combining their brains they managed to get the data out of the offending database.

Basically, copied ISQL to the relevant dir once found our database. Used this to produce .txt files of the data. These then output to disk.
