    Unanswered: "Developer Edition " question

    Hi to all,
to be able to run my application in a pc with no Office or MsAccess installed what do i need exactly?
    Microsoft Office Xp Developer ??
    Microsoft Access Developer Edition ?

Where can i buy, here in Europe, a used copy ?
Itīs legal to make, sell, or simply use it for commercial purpose an application made with a used copy bought from a person or a shop like Ebay ?

Thanks a lot for your time.
    Best regards from Claudio

What application? Are you just using Access as a database? Are you trying to run Access as an app? At a minimum, you need the appropriate MDAC version (FREE - check out www.microsoft.com the downloads section), and then depending on requirements other software.

    Re:

You need to have Office developers edition in order to redistribute you app on pc having no office. I don't know where you can buy it but onve copy of developer's edition gives you unlimited license.

This developers edition comes with a packaging wizard that will package all the neccessary access runtime files with your app.

Well now ... If the app is contained within Access all you need to run it is the Access run-time and the MDAC AND BOTH ARE FREE. you don't need to buy a suite of tools for that ... Distribution is another thing entirely.
