    Question Unanswered: Reading the registry...

    Hi,

    Is there any commands in SQL Server through which i can read the registry from the operating system???

    Cool Try this

    Hi,
    You may try some Extended proc..
    Take a look at these: xp_instance_regread, xp_instance_regwrite etc.. located in master.
    Ex: EXEC xp_instance_regread 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE', 'Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\MSSQLServer', 'DefaultData'
