    Unanswered: Database table are opened as read-only

    I am using an access project file that connect on an SQL Server database. .. My table are opening as read-only hence i can not update or append any datas . I am using an administrator login when connecting to database i mean with full access authorisations...

    This seems to be very strange as when i disconnect my client application and reconnect to default Northwind database created by default when installing SQL Server Updates comes up...

    However when i can connect to enterprise manager and open directly tables from there and this with the same logon read - update - write become possible.

    I have been in Microsoft develloper support web site but i didn't find any imcompatibilities issued that could explain such situation...

    Please what could be my problem ... pls advise .... as i am wasting my time ( three days ) without having this solved ...

    i didn't set the connection programmaticaly. this has been defined through a data link properties wizard.

    Server: Server Ip address
    security= SQL Server authentication
    on advanced option i didn't set any connect timeout

    Morever when testing connection with control button that perform this
    it responds positively
