That happened to me once. The oracle that I installed kept expanding until the hard drive was full. All I can say is re-install it.

    hi,

    two questions:
Is the harddisk space after deleteing an drecreating the apache log file, the same as before ?
What error message do u get from the apache, and why did u ignore it ?

I think that solving the problem of the apache error message, will solve the problem of expanding.

    hope this helps

The 9i Installation Guide goes over this in the 'Post-Installation' section.
It specifies how to turn off the apache server, etc.

    hi,

if u do not use anything that needs the apache listener (like iSQL, Portal, or webforms), disabling the apache listener give u no problem using the oracle db or sql.
Apache is used for handling http requests.

    Hope this helps.

I am wondering about the Apache utility in Oracle Server.

You can install an Apache Server very easily and write software that accesses the Oracle Database.
