I'm working with Access XP setting up forms that contain subforms. Each subform is sychronized by resetting the recordset based upon various events generated by the parent form. I've found that in some cases if I attempt to sort the data within the subform I recieve one of the following errors:
Data shape command text contains a syntax error at or near position . . .
-- or --
Could not find stored procedure . . .
The forms work properly otherwise so I know that the syntax is correct and that the objects exist. I'm fairly certain that Access is wrapping the recordset values with SHAPE() statements which is in turn generating the errors. (There was a similar problem with early versions of Access 2000, but they were resolved with a service pack.)
Has anyone experienced similar issues and found a way to work around them? Any way to force Access XP to not use the SHAPE() statements?
