    Ok.

    1. Not sure that the two errors have something in common, but it is certainly something to look after.

    2. Running CONSISTENT = Y increases the probability of running into "ORA-01555 Snapshot Too Old" error. That's why I asked for that. Unfortunatety, running CONSISTENT=N (is the default) does not totally eliminate the probability of running into that same error.

Anyway, the error you are getting is very normal. When the export of table T1 starts (time T), Oracle guarantees that the export will contain committed information at time T. Thus, if you are running an export on a table that gets modified by other sesssion (regardsless of the fact whether these modifications are committed or not) during the export, Oracle needs to lookup information in the rollback segment to produce this snapshot of your table, as it was at time T. Of course, adding information to the rollback segment is limited to its physical size. So, when this limit is reached, Oracle starts removing information from the rollback segment that concerns committed transactions. If your export needed this (deleted) information to produce the snapshot at time T, then your session runs into ORA-01555.

What you can try is :
    1. increase the size of the rollback segment, eventually increase the size of the undo retention period
    2. try to run your export when the number of concurrent sessions is very limited or zero, this is you will have the database to yourself.
