Unanswered: Adding calculated fields in reports

Hi I'm trying to add some txtboxes together..

The two txt boxes that I'm trying to add has some calculations in them..

    I tried..

    =[Text101]+[Text102] ...... text101 = 1 text102 = 3

I get this as a result

    13 instead of 4

    Text101 has the calculation .. =funCount1("DR")
    Text102 has the calculation .. =funCount3("DR")

both are functions in a module...

any ideas on how to add them together ?

Please state clearly what is the control source for the target text box. Your mail is confusing.

    got it..

    I do have another question..

Function funCount4(prmSearchString3 As String) As String
    funCount4 = DCount("[INSP]", "[qryQualityStatus]", "left([INSP],2) = '" & prmSearchString3 & "' And [REJ] = 'Y'" And [CLOSEDATE] = "Is Not Null")
    End Function

I add the last part.. to find all data in field DATACLOSE that are not empty..

    I get an error there..

Can someone see what Im missing here ??

    thanks

    Change this
And [CLOSEDATE] = "Is Not Null"
    to
    And [CLOSEDATE] Is Not Null
