    hi,

well i am sorry, but why don't u just follow the steps in the assistant, and if u don't understand a step, just ask us that. The config assistant isn't that hard to use.
The things u need to know :
    - database name referred to as SID
    - service name : alias for the database name-> same name is the best
    - hostname : name of the machine on which the database resides (or the ip-address
    - listener port number : the port the listener is listening on, most cases 1521, unless u gave a different portnumber during installation or configuration.

Try using the help that goes with the config assistant.

    Hope this helps

    Question Error

    I get this error everytime:

    Connecting....

    The test did not succeed.
    ORA-12224: TNS:no listener

There may be an error in the fields entered
or the server may not be ready for a connection.
You can check the server and retry, or continue.

AND yes I did setup my listener
