Unanswered: A97 - RPC Server Not Available

    Hello all,

I have one NT4 client machine that is running an Access 97 database. In the database I have written a procedure which starts a New instance of Word 97, creates a new document based on a template, inserts some text into the document and saves it. This executes flawlessly. The procedure then releases the object variables (setting them to Nothing) and terminates.

However, when the same procedure is run again immediately afterwards, it generates the message "RPC Server Not Available" when trying to start a New instance of Word. I seem to remember this being a problem in older versions of NT because of the PagedPoolSize registry setting not being correct, or Services.exe crashing, or somesuch, but neither appears to be the case here. Does anybody have any ideas why this is happening and how this can be fixed ?

    TIA
