Unanswered: Porting from SQL Server 2000 to DB2

    Hi,
I have been trying to port a SQL server based code to DB2 based. Since I am new to DB2, I dont know what are the commands that are available with DB2. The
Select Top 10 * from TableName SQL Command which works with SQL server 200 doesn't seem to work with DB2, is there any equivalent SQL command in DB2. Also, If anybody can let me know some good DB2 books, it will be of great help to me.
    -thanks

The DB2 manuals can be downloaded in PDF format. You need most of the manuals, especially the SQL Reference (vol 1 and 2). There is also porting information available on the IBM website. To get these links, go to the Useful DB2 Stuff thread.

I am not aware of any equivalent command to "select top 10 ... from .."

Do we have the concept of ROWID in DB2. If we have Rowids thenwe could use that to get the exact same result set.
