    Unanswered: SQL <--> DBF syncronization

    Does anyone know if any tools exist to syncronize a SQL or MySQL DB on the web with a local DBF file on a users computer?

    Thanks!

    Funny you should ask

    I've had to do that before and I had to try a couple of different approaches before I found one that worked.

    First and foremost are there any firewall limitations?

    If not, a simple asp/ado script should be able to knock it all out.

    If not.. well then we need to look at the limitations

    Limitations and such

    I don't believe there is a firewall. I think they connect via a dial up account so unless their using an AOL connection, I'd have to say no.

    I think it's possible to make some simple applications to do that. In Borland Delphi at least.

    You shold make script on the web-server which will contain a code with sql queries for db modifications (insert, update, delete). Then the desktop application will call this script and pass data to this via script's parameters.

    I hope my English is not so poor to understand me.
