Thumbs up Unanswered: Oracle Sybase Schema Comparison

    Hi,
I am very new to data bases. We have a software which generates schema information in both Sybase and Oracle. My aim here is to compare the Schema information between Sybase and Oracle and ensure if they are in Sync.

I could find a tool called dbshema.pl for Sybase which generates the sql required to re-generate schema information. I am planning to use this information to get the schema information in Sybase.

I was not able to find an equivalent tool for Oracle.

What I am trying to do is
    - Dump the schema information or Oracle and Sybase in seperate flat files.
    - Them compare them to see if they are in Sync.

Can some one tell me if there is a good tool for Oracle that will help me extract schema information from the command line?

    Many thanks in advance...

Any modeling tool like ERwin should be able to do this for you.

Thank you very much, this seems to solve my problem of extracting meta data from Oracle
