I'm trying to figure out if there are any gotchas in the following:
Its been determined that a database cluster we have is not being utilized enough to justify its existence, so it should be migrated to a named instance on other existing clustered servers. All the SQL resources currently exist on a fibre attached SAN.
Is there anyone out there with enough experience with SAN attached clusters that can tell me what to look out for during this migration?
Assuming I can have the LUNs allow connection by the SQL instances on the destination servers, will there be any problem assuming control of the DBs? Would I be better off backing up the DBs and Restoring at same LUN location?
