    Unanswered: record count

i have a search function where i used me.recordsource ("SELECT ........") and using me.requery to display the fields based on the search criteria.

how do i check if there are no records at all under the criteria given by the user? in other words, how do i check if my sql statement did or did not retrieve any records??

    Hi,

I am not sure if I understood you, but as I see you need something like subselect eg.: SELECT ..... EXIST.... (SELECT...)

    Hope this helps,

I don't think any of these questions pertain to IBM's DB2 product. Sounds like it may be a Visual Basic or MS Access question. Not sure which database is being used with Visual Basic.
