Angry Unanswered: Can't get my Access Controls to enter data into my tables.

    Hello everyone,

This is my inaugural entry to "dbforums" so thank you in advance for the community.

I am working on a DB in Access- the tables were created via "data queries".

My problem is that my contols (i.e. textboxes...etc) will not allow me to enter in data. I get the following message:

"Control can't be edited; It's bound to unknown field 'nameOfMyField '.

-I've tried going into the expression builder and using the fully-qualified path to that particular control.

-I've tried just entering the name of the field itself.

I've noticed that the "Field-List" is not select-able when I am in "Design Mode"... why?

    Thank you,

    DonC

    Norberto,

I didn't quite understand your post but, I solved my problem over the weekend. I don't fully understand why Access was doing what it was but none the less... I worked around it.

But thank you for you time,

    DC
