    Yes, I found it, from dba_tables and the column cache
    now how to find the index is cached,
    can i cache only index

    Sathih, I checked in dba_indexes but I do not know is the column which says it is cached or not, I am using oracle9i.

    SQL> select owner,name,namespace,pins, kept from v$db_object_cache where namespace= 'INDEX';
