    Unanswered: Drop the database

    Hi!

    I'm planning on creating a dbimport script that will be used by our operators to automatically restore our db in our devt environment. However, i'm having problems in dropping the database without using the dbaccess.

    Is there another way on dropping the database without using dbaccess?

    Any suggestions will be highly appreciated...

    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

    You can use the following, into script:

    #!/bin/ksh
    base=$1
    dbaccess 2>/dev/null <<EOF
    drop database $base
    EOF
    ..................
