    Unanswered: New to MS SQL

I have a rookie question, I have used Access in the past and I am in the beginning stages of learning MS SQL. Does MS SQL have anything that is equilivant to the "memo" data type in Access so that you can format the data to make notes more readable by honoring the <carriage return> and the <tab> in your free text?

The physical order of data in a database has no meaning.
