Unanswered: Front End and Back End

how to use front end as MS Access 2000 and back end as MS Access2000.

I dont want to use the wizards to create the forms. I want to build a powerful application.

There is some code like opening recordset if we use asp as front end and MS Access as back end.

I am new to ms access that is why I am asking.

    thanks

To use access as both the front-end and back-end:

Store tables only in one database (back-end)

Store Form and Queries in another database (Front-end)
In the Front-end you will link the tables from the back-end.

I think sometime people also store the queries ont he back-end but I always keep them in front-end.

As far as using code to access recordsets i suggest learning VBA to do this.

    I agree with vad,

As far as learning about recordset, I would recommend learning about ADO

Could you send an exapmle database for using VBA code. Just for opening database connection and accessing information in tables through front end form. So that I can get an rough idea. I have the vba book but I don't know where to start. I have to use either ADO or DAO. From ur discussion I came to know that for opening database connection I have to use either ADO or DAO. That is what I think.

    Thanks
