Question Unanswered: Access Error (in unexpected state and partially converted state)

    Hi,

I have a DB in Microsoft Access which is very important for me. The data is very important for me. I was using the compact and repair command my computer hanged and the application was ended. Now when I wanted to open it , it gives me this error:

This database is in an unexpected state and Microsoft Access can not open it. This database has been converted from a prior version of Microsoft Access by using the DAO compact Database method instead of the convert database command on the tools menu. This has left the database in a partially converted state. If you have a copy of the database in its original format use the convert database command on the tools menu to convert it. If the original database is no longer available , create a new database and import your tables and queries to preserve your data . your other database objects can not be converted.

But it can not be imported and I do not know what to do . Please help me this is very urgent and important for me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Roseta.

It gives the same error. I tried to open and read it with DAO but there was no use. It says you do not have read permission.

The base is locked in exclusive mode when you do the repair in first time. You need a program that repair that else is lost.
I thing that in web page of Dev Ashish there is one see in there.
