    Unanswered: Shared Memory in Windows

Has anyone ever seen shared memory problems on Windows? I have a developer who is running Oracle 8.1.7 with Windows 2000 and getting shared memory errors. I have seen this on Solaris but this is a first on Windows.

    Any fixes?

it's possible that the MSSQL client updated MDAC, were you using the MS ODBC driver for Oracle to connect to the database?

    Hi,

What exactly is the problem? The only 'Shared Memory' problem I've been unfortunate to come across is the dreaded 'Shared Memory Realm Does Not Exist' on instance startup under some versions of Win2K.

    Maybe some more info?

    Cheers

    dear ,

If u are talking about Realm Memory Problem Then do only one thing:

Increase ur RAM. That will solve the problem.
