Hi all...anyone know if it is possible to use a stored procedure to change a OS level password? I am running informix 9.2 on AIX 4.3.

Yes, and no. From a stored procedure you can issue the system command and that would include passwd. The problem with the standard AIX passwd command is that it's interactive.

There are public routines (use at own risk) that have "C" programs which will change the password in one pass. Web search for chpass.c

    ?

Thanks for the response. Can you share the name of that stored procedure also? I understand it wont help here, but it does sound handy.
